Overview
Ron has over 50 years of practice as a trial attorney and litigator. He’s had hundreds of jury trials, non-jury trials, and hearings as lead counsel during his 50 years experience as a trial lawyer. He initially served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office for 5 years. Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in the following areas of law: Personal Injury, Labor & Employment, Consumer, Criminal, Business & Commercial litigation, and Family and Divorce. With decades of legal and mediation experience, he brings a balance of legal knowledge and human understanding to each case, ensuring fair, efficient, and lasting agreements.
Professional Experience
Ron believes that every dispute, no matter how complex, can be resolved through respectful communication, empathy, and creative problem-solving. His goal is to help people find mutually beneficial solutions, while preserving relationships and the dignity of all parties. He achieves this goal by being a neutral facilitator, who helps people move from impasse to solutions. His style is calm, patient, and practical; he listens closely, organizes the issues, and guides a step-by-step conversation that leads to a clear agreement.
Starting with the belief that people make their best decisions when they feel heard and respected, he balances empathy with structure, asks clarifying questions, and helps clients test options against their goals, timelines, and resources. He focuses on creating outcomes that meet the unique needs of everyone involved, not just a one-size-fits-all solution. He ensures that clients have complete decision-making power and veto authority over each provision of any mediated agreement. His background as an attorney and mediator, combined with a degree in social work, offers valuable insight and a unique perspective into the mediation process.
